Many people have submitted accounts to us where they have been to a McDonalds (For a children’s birthday party) and or shopping area where there is a time limit imposed by the land owner. What happens next is that if you stay over the time limit imposed on you, one then receives a fine of anything from £100 Pounds which is then reduced to £50 Pounds if it is paid within 14 days. Please see the images below as an example;
Until we can confirm via legal means if this is legitimate, what we are saying is that please be aware that this appears to be legal and unfortunately the fine has to be paid. We concur that it is disgusting having to pay a fine when we unknowingly do not realise the parking restrictions which are not blatantly obvious as you enter the car park…..
CONMAN EXPOSED ADVICE: While it is not a scam per se, please always be vigilant and do not assume that the parking is free.
Have you a story? If so, PLEASE EMAIL US AT: email@example.com
Always read the small print!
Many people have contacted us and told us about their woes with companies like Premxxx Credit etc who take money from their account, sometimes taking more than agreed and or if a payment is missed which is not your fault (Bank has made a mistake etc) they then charge at least £20 to retry etc.
A quick look on the web finds the following information about their loan services;
Regarding this and similar companies, please take a look at this article;
CONMAN EXPOSED ADVICE: Adding interest and penalty charges is how they make their money so please only enter into an agreement with them if you are 100 percent certain you can make the monthly payments. At the end of the day they are in the process of making money so please do not give any more to them than you have to.
People who do not have a product to sell yet insist on taking your money and then making you fight with Ebay and PayPal to get it back. The good thing is that Ebay and PayPal will get your money back but the pain of having to go through all that is upsetting to say the least. Please do check both companies terms and conditions, it is good information to know.
Another type of issue that people commonly face on Ebay is when someone clicks on a Buy it now or wins a bid, essentially entering into a contract with you and then they refuse to pay. In the case of a car, for example a wild scenario would be someone dreams of buying a Ferrari and bids for it with no money and possibility of purchasing it. Not only do they waste your time and effort and even prevent someone else from purchasing the car, but one has to fight with Ebay who automatically take your money as they assume a transaction has taken place.
Unfortunately unless a transaction is completed, you cannot leave negative feedback so this behaviour goes unnoticed. If Ebay is reading, please can you add an additon to your reviews to indicate all types of feedback?
